The following Cups Trophies and Competitions have been named in the records. It is not always clear if they are County or District, yearly or intermittent, Cubs, Scouts, Senior Scouts, Ventures or Explorers, or use the same name on every occasion.

Other events have been mentioned but these have, or have some suggestion of, a Trophy to be awarded.

County Shield   Introduced in 1950 as a Senior Scout Counterpart to the Hele Junior Scout County camping competition

Gauntlet Trophy1979    Stradishall,  Mr Rollinsons Farm.  County Camp and Hele Trophy and Gauntlet Trophy      An incident Adventure will be run for the Gauntlet Trophy.

Hele Trophy

The Hele Trophy was for the Camping conducted with the best Scouting spirit ‘To encourage good camping and enjoy it’.  A county wide competition the whereabouts of the Trophy are unknown. Described as a carved totem pole.

In 1950 it is described as Junior County Camp competition and was won by the 12th at Abington, in this year the County Shield was introduced for Senior Scouts.  The junior team with normal camp gear the senior scouts in lightweight camp gear.

Named after T. S. Hele, (Thomas Shirley) County Commissioner affectionately known as “Timmy”, Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University 1943 -45 Master of Emmanuel from 1935 to his retirement in 1951. He served in the First World War as a Captain of the Royal Army Medical Corps, fighting malaria in Macedonia.           

Kinsey TrophyA fishing competition mentioned in the 1964 Minutes of the 54th Cambridge. Held in Mill Pond nothing else is known about it from archives.
