A note from the 1960’s describes the colours as Royal Blue and Maroon halves, the change being enacted 4th April 1966. After the event the colours were questioned with concern about another group in the district with similar colour scheme. They had an edge stripe and no clash was identified to upset the unauthorised change in colours.
