Gamages Catalogue 1913

Cambridge District Scout Archive

A serendipitous finding, we were looking at tools for pewter work, which nicely illustrates early Scouting equipment. Being only five years after the publication of Scouting for Boys it illustrates the market for both kit and associated nicknacks.

Gamages was a London department store, trading between 1878 and 1972, particularly well known for its toy and hardware departments. Close ups have been added to relevant pages elsewhere on this site.
