The Cambridge District Scout Archive records the events and people of Scouting in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, since 1908.
The pages cover Cambridge specific events and wider scouting activities as illustrated by Cambridge records.
The geographical area of Cambridge District has altered since it was first registered in 1910. The records available follow those historical changes. At present the records largely stop between 1983 and 2001 when the District was split into Cambridge North and Cambridge South.
Many gaps and inconsistencies exist, contemporaneous records often being written on a basis of ‘as everyone knows’. Please consider this if you use this information. Do please contact us to correct any factual errors.
The Archive has a physical presence and welcomes records, histories, artefacts and stories concerning Scouting in Cambridge and Cambridge Scouts.
