The photograph shows Marguerite de Beaumont, Hon Mrs. de Beaumont (Guide CC Cambridgeshire), BP, Dr Eastman (chief of the Sioux Indians) and CTW (second from right) Old Court Queens’ College.
Dr. Eastman was of Santee Dakota, English and French ancestry. He worked as a physician and became increasingly active in Native American rights. He also helped found the Boy Scouts of America. He is considered the first Native American author to write American history.
