In the 1912 Annual report the start dte for St Columba’s is given as November 1911
Note: In the 1912 Annual report the Troop Colour was Silver Grey, the shirt Khaki’
Rev John Lewis BSc. SM of the 14th Cambridge, wrote a pamphlet ‘How to Run a Patrol’ which was for sale for many years. The edition in ‘The Dump’ repository of Scouting books is dated 1962, it was for sale in 1938 and presumably many years earlier, having a foreword by BP. I have not yet untangled more of his history.
